Due to the pandemic, courses are offered in a secure, virtual environment, consisting of synchronous and asynchronous learning. Courses will return to physical schools when it is deemed safe to do so.

Summer Classes Offered

  • Virtually, for students from Senior Kindergarten to Grade 8
  • During the month of July, Monday to Friday
  • Available in the morning and with some afternoon options
  • Concentration on all four language competencies: reading, writing, listening, speaking as well as fun cultural components
  • Students from all schools across Ontario welcome
  • Students residing outside of Ontario welcome (additional fees apply)

Fees are per language per student, and are non-refundable

Non-funded Students | Out-of-province & international
$150 (tuition + consumables and resources fee)

The schedule below indicates general time frames. The virtual class schedule may vary by program and may include staggered learning times.
Exact class time will be communicated to parents/guardians once the student’s registration is processed.

The IL Elementary Summer Program offers dynamic daily summer classes for students to learn and interact in the target language. Students can improve their knowledge of the language and culture while having fun with their peers. The classes are taught by experienced instructors who create a vibrant learning experience for students through engaging cultural activities, crafts and games. Students will develop their literacy, communication skills and cultural awareness while creating memories, friendships and a sense of community.

Beginner and Intermediate level; 6 + years – $150
Students will be encouraged to communicate in French to develop their competencies through classroom interactions and activities enhanced by a dynamic interactive platform.
 
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) – 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm 
Beginner and Intermediate level; 6 + years – $150
Students will apply tools in TinkerCad to design 3D models that will be printed and cut so that they can assemble them. Spaces limited.
