The IL Secondary Program offers high school credit courses that focus on oral communication, reading and writing in a language other than English or French. Students will develop intercultural understanding and will use the target language to communicate and interact in a variety of social and academic settings. The Ontario credits can be used towards high school diploma completion as well as post-secondary admissions.
Your safety is our priority!
Due to the pandemic, courses are offered in a secure, virtual environment, consisting of synchronous and asynchronous learning. Courses will return to physical schools when it is deemed safe to do so.
*’DU’ IL credit is equivalent to the pre-university ‘4U’ credit used for post-secondary applications
Important!
For non-CECCE students, proof of address and status in Canada is required.
Students will be placed in an IL credit level by the ILP administration according to Ministry-required prerequisites. If a student has completed an IL credit outside of the CECCE, please send proof of credit to the ILP.
The secondary credit courses are overseen by the principal of Éducation permanente, Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est (CECCE), and funded by the Ontario Ministry of Education.
