Summer Credit Courses offered
For students from Grade 9 to 12 as well as those who will complete Grade 8 in June
During the month of July, Monday to Friday
Concentration on all four language competencies: reading, writing, listening, speaking as well as fun cultural components
Students from all schools across Ontario welcome
Students residing outside of Ontario welcome (additional fees apply)
Summer courses offer the opportunity for students to obtain a full credit towards their high school diploma and complete prerequisite credits required for entry to Level 2 (Grade 11 university preparation credit) or Level 3 (Grade 12 university preparation credit)
Summer Course Details 2024
June 28 to July 26, 2024, Monday to Friday
Classes held from 9:15 am to 3:30pm
Open to students in Grade 9 – 12
as well as those who will complete Grade 8 in June
Registration deadline: June 24, 2024
Fees
Fees per student per language class, and are non-refundable
Funded Student | Ontario residents
FREE tuition – Nominal enhanced materials costs may apply
Non-funded Student | Out-of-province residents, international students paying tuition fees, audit students
$450 (tuition + consumables and resources fee)
Arabic Course Credit Levels
Each level represents one full Ontario credit
Virtual :

Level 1 (Grade 10 credit), no prerequesite; and

Level 2 (Grade 11 credit), must complete Level 1 to be eligible
Spanish Course Credit Levels
Each level represents one full Ontario credit

The IL Secondary Program offers dynamic daily summer courses for students to learn and interact in the target language. Students can improve their knowledge of the language and culture while having fun with their peers. The classes are taught by experienced educators who create a vibrant learning experience for students through engaging cultural activities, crafts and games. Students will develop their literacy, communication skills and cultural awareness while creating memories, friendships and a sense of community.
